THE APPLICATION PROCESS:

The application process for staff positions with Project Patch is stringent and requires a high level of commitment from you and Project Patch Staff. When the process is complete, we should both have a good idea of whether the position matches your skills, if Project Patch provides the type of culture you thrive in and whether you will enjoy and be energized working at Patch.

Some positions may require additional steps.  Please see the Job Openings displayed above to verify.

Step 1: Paperwork
  1. Submit an online Employment Application Step 1
  2. Submit cover letter, resume’
  3. The HR team will reach out with any questions by email or phone call with an invitation to the second step of the application process including upload of employment references when requested. We review the paperwork submitted and contact each of your references by email.  The email includes a link to a reference form for them to submit.
Step 2: Review

We will call you to talk about the position and answer any questions.  We then determine whether to continue the application process.

Step 3: Site Visit Days & Interview Schedule and complete a 3-day job shadow and interview with administration/supervisors at our Garden Valley Youth Program.

Our first goal during this time is to help you understand job duties and expectations.  Secondly, our goal is for Project Patch to get to know you better and to determine whether we are a good fit for your skills and goals.

Step 4: Diana Screen® Diana Screen® with Project Patch.

 

At Project Patch, the protection and safety of the children we serve is the #1 priority. For that reason, we screen all candidates applying for positions of trust working with children using the Diana Screen®.

The Diana Screen® is a sexual risk screening tool used by Project Patch to screen candidates who are applying for staff or volunteer positions. The Diana Screen® is administered on a computer in our office (Garden Valley, ID or Vancouver, WA), and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The Diana Screen® helps to identify men and women who may step over a sexual boundary line or who may present a sexual risk to children and teens. The Diana Screen® is used as one part of Project Patch’s overall application/interview/screening process.

Step 5: Conditional Job Offer Applicant must clear background check with fingerprinting.  Applicant must have a satisfactory Driving History Report.  Applicant must sign a self-health declaration.
