When the process is complete, the applicant and Project Patch should both have a good idea whether the applicant is skilled and will fit the organization. The applicant will also have a good idea whether they would enjoy and be energized by working at Patch. THE APPLICATION PROCESS IS AS FOLLOWS: Some positions may require additional steps. Please see the Job Openings displayed above to verify. Step 1: Paperwork Submit an on-line Employment Application. Submit cover letter, resume'. Send completed employment reference contact information form (requires email addresses for all references) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Step 2: Diana Screen® Schedule appointment for Diana Screen® with Project Patch. At Project Patch the protection and safety of the children we serve is #1 priority. For that reason we screen all candidates applying for positions of trust working with children using the Diana Screen®. The Diana Screen® is a sexual risk screening tool used by Project Patch to screen candidates who are applying for staff or volunteer positions. The Diana Screen® is administered on a computer in our office (Garden Valley, ID, Goldendale, WA, or Vancouver, WA), and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. The Diana Screen® helps to identify men and women who may step over a sexual boundary line or who may present a sexual risk to children and teens. The Diana Screen® is used as one part in Project Patch's overall application/interview/screening process. Step 3: Review We review paperwork submitted and contact each of your references by an email that includes a link for a reference form for them to submit. There will be a phone call with the applicant. We then determine whether to continue the application process. Step 4: Volunteer Days & Interview Schedule and complete 3 days of volunteering at the Youth Ranch and interview with administration and supervisors. Our first goal during this time is to help applicants to understand job duties and expectations. Secondly, our goal is for Project Patch to get to know an applicant better and to determine whether an applicant fits the organization. Step 5: Conditional Job Offer Applicant must clear background check with fingerprinting ($65 cost to applicant). Applicant must have a satisfactory Driving History Report ($10 cost to applicant). Applicant must sign a self-health declaration. Applicant must also pass Drug Testing.
