Speaking/Seminars

**I’m available for in-person and virtual speaking events.  I have the ability to present both live as well as pre-recorded presentations.  Please get in touch with me to learn more.

Parenting has always been challenging, and it keeps getting harder.  We feel inadequate and overwhelmed.  Kids are growing up with easy access to pornography and recreational drugs.  Kids are becoming inseparable from their phones and video games. We wonder what kind of future awaits our kids and whether they will ever become adults.

Even though it’s easy to become discouraged, I know there is hope.  I have walked alongside parents and teens for over 30 years and know what works.  I know the key areas to focus on to help kids become great adults despite the threats in their life.

I want to get the word out that there are solutions!

As you plan your next event, I know you are praying for an event that will give people hope and make an impact. My presentation will be a catalyst for change rather than fear, action rather than paralysis, and eternal rather than temporary changes.

I have the same goals as you do and look forward to partnering to make the biggest impact we can make in your community.

A Little Bit About Me

I am the primary presenter for Project Patch and have been speaking publicly for over 30 years.  I enjoy sharing in a number of formats, including sermons, keynotes, seminars, breakouts, and interviews.  I’ve been featured on local and national radio and television shows, including an appearance on the Dr. Phil Show.

I write articles and create podcasts for Today’s Family Experience as well as contribute to other programs that help teens and families.

I have been married to my wife, Kelly, since 1994, and we have two daughters and a son.  Our family has experienced the beauty and challenges of adoption and raising a special needs child as we continue to live near Portland, Oregon.  I enjoy triathlons, running, reading, fly fishing, and food.

Most Requested Topics

I’m most often asked to speak on topics related to family, teens, church youth, church leadership, and technology within the home.  I will customize our presentation to meet your group’s needs and will work closely with you to determine the best way to reach your audience.

My most requested topics include the following.  Keep in mind that we can present in a short keynote style or as a seminar or workshop.  I will do my best to formulate our presentation to fit whatever time you have available.

Life Ready Kids/The Battle Over the Off Switch: This is a popular presentation for schools and youth groups and can also be presented for the whole family.  The goal is to help teens understand the threats to their freedom and give them the skills to turn off the device. If the teen can’t turn it off and their parent isn’t there to make them turn it off . . . then they are owned by their device.

No teen wants to be owned, and this is a fun session to learn how to own technology without falling prey to manipulation and threats like pornography, video game addiction, and distortions from social media. More >>>

Impacting Teens: Introduces the importance of strategic relationships with teens that will impact the rest of their lives.  Instruction on building rapport, communicating with a teen, how to respond when emotions are running high, and danger areas to always keep in mind.   More >>>

“Chuck Hagele presented a fantastic series called ‘Life Ready Kids’ to the Gold Coast Christian College community.  The information presented was invaluable for parents raising children in such a digitally rich and diverse era.  Chuck had prepared information to equip parents with the knowledge to connect with their digital natives(children). Empowering the parents to engage with their children guiding them to make sensible decisions when using the information rich internet and social media apps to grow and develop responsible Christian citizens.  Chucks presentation style was very engaging for the audience and the feedback our parents shared centred around how informative and relevant the information was.  Many parents have utilised skills taught by Chuck to nurture their family units and refocus their homes with Christ at the centre again.”
– Guy Lawson – Principal, Gold Coast Christian College, Reedy Creek, Queensland
