When my beloved Mama (Rita Dixon) was baptized, Tom was in with her and performed the baptism. She told me she was delighted because she knew she could trust him to keep her safe! It is a story I still treasure and he never failed to greet me and hug me when I was there along the back wall. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.
