Mikayla joined Project Patch in September 2023 as a Treatment Therapist. She is an Idaho native and graduated from the University of Jamestown (North Dakota) in 2020 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Mikayla played college softball for the University of Jamestown for four years before transferring to Keiser University (Florida) for her fifth year and to begin her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Mikayla graduated in April 2023 with her MS of CMHC from Keiser University. Mikayla holds counseling licenses in both Florida and Idaho.
Mikayla has experience working with incarcerated individuals, severe and persistent mental health, homelessness, and children and adolescents. She has a passion for working with vulnerable populations, and understands the needs and challenges they face. Before becoming a therapist, Mikayla was a Targeted Case Manager for forensic and intensive populations.
Mikayla is married and loves spending time with her family. She believes God led her to work at Project Patch. She and her family moved from Florida to Idaho due to God’s calling and the doors He opened to be a part of the impact made here at Project Patch.
