Steve Sanders is a therapist at Project Patch, where he is passionate about helping adolescents overcome challenges, discover their strengths, and equipping their toolbox so that they can someday reach their full potential. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and his Master of Social Work from Boise State University and is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
For more than 30 years, Steve has dedicated his career to serving youth in a variety of settings. His experience includes working with the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections, being a foster care, working for Health and Welfare, residential treatment, alternative education, Teen Challenge, and youth pastor. Most recently, he spent 12 years as the Lead Law & Public Safety instructor at Nampa High School, where he mentored and prepared hundreds of students for careers in law enforcement, public safety, and leadership.
Steve brings a unique combination of clinical training, education, juvenile justice, and real-world life experience to his work with teens and their families. He is excited to continue investing in young people through Project Patch, helping them build resilience, develop healthy relationships, and achieve lasting success.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and family, exploring the outdoors, traveling, van camping, board game nights and creating memorable D&D adventures for family and friends.
